Hangar vs SevenRooms

SevenRooms is a strong booking and guest CRM, and since June 2025 it belongs to DoorDash. Its contract says DoorDash "owns all right, title and interest in all Guest Information" from its marketplace, and that SevenRooms and DoorDash may have "independent access" to guest data. You can't leave for convenience, renewal is automatic with 90 days' notice, and prices can rise 5% each renewal. It has no till, and email, WhatsApp, events and the API are all paid add-ons. Hangar keeps every guest on your own database, runs the till itself, and builds the API, webhooks and MCP into the platform price.
